Distance: Approximately 2 kilometres of walking on elevated terrain and 1km within the river

Weather: Trips proceed in most weather conditions. Our canyon route is safe even in the rain.

What to expect:
Our circular route begins with a 30-minute hike through the enchanting South African fynbos and forest to reach a river cliff. Participants hike in their own shoes while gear is carried in backpacks. Upon reaching the river, we gear up for the highlight of the trip: the 30-metre high abseil into the canyon. Whether you choose to abseil or opt for a guided rope lower, safety measures are paramount with multiple safety backups in place.
Once safely down, the real fun begins with river exploration and optional cliff jumps. Your guide will provide instruction and support as you navigate the jumps. Cliff jumps range from 1 to 10 metres, offering opportunities to practice and build confidence with feedback and advice from your guide.
Afterward, we hike back at a leisurely pace, stopping to change out of wetsuits, gather our belongings at the abseil point and savour the surrounding beauty.
